came like new but the cord was tangled. The included (new) filter/wick pad was paper and didn't soak up even a third of the way and also started to darken after two days. Not emptying the tank/reservoir even though the humidity in the house was below 40% at all times. Conclusion: Previous reviews mentioned changing the filter a while ago, so the new improved and more profitable version could be the culprit. Also, an inexpensive built-in humidistat should be at least 5% of the calibrated one. It was returned for a refund. I advise against buying Vornado.
