This product works well but you need to follow the instructions. It may take a few uses, but it's really carpet-safe, which is the most important aspect. Once you remove the stain, no residue is left for the stain to come back. It is not very effective in removing urine odor. I had to alternate between ammonia on the fabric in the areas, then white vinegar on the fabric in the areas, followed by rubbing the area under the weighted item with a paper towel to 'drain' the moisture. It took several iterations. The smell of animal urine is very difficult to treat. But I am confident in the stain removal with this product and am using something very safe on my BRAND NEW CARPET - I have 2 older dogs who are good girls but 'accidents' do happen from time to time.
