I switched to this stand having previously used a much smaller and weaker flexible tripod as a phone stand to help my kids record silly videos. The old one just didn't work anymore. It was difficult to balance in certain positions, achieve certain angles, and actually started falling apart. This new one from NexiGo has no angle/balance issues and it feels like you'd have to run a truck over it to do any damage. You can bend it into any shape you want, but it takes some effort, and that's what you need for a camera companion like this. and also on the bottom, giving you more options to place your phone without resorting to weird curved shapes on the stand itself. In hindsight, this is an obvious feature, but I've never seen it before. I don't use the action mount (also included) so I can't comment on its performance, but it seems well made and unlikely to break. appropriate stress. All in all, definitely a good buy if you're looking for one of these in the market.
