The passenger side mirror appears to be primarily designed to fit over existing glass. If you remove the old mirror before installation, the new glass will NOT fit in the frame. It's so bad I hope it doesn't fall out. Now that I have one installed I would recommend throwing that item away and buying a complete mirror assembly for an additional $10-20. The mirror assembly is more difficult to install, but the fit and quality is better. The driver's side fits better, but not completely into the frame. Visually that's not true. It distorts your vision like a funny house mirror. Pooh. Not for me. Over time I will be replacing both sides with a mirror assembly. live and learn Installed on a 1999 Chevy Suburban K1500.
