The Bee Paper Company has created a great sketch pad. I tried them all and this is my panel. I have the "Super Deluxe Mixed Media" 9X12 inch version. It has everything you will ever need: very thick, two surfaces - left side is smooth, right side is slightly rough (when fully opened on two sides), sheets are perforated along the 12" side, which is the side of is the wire ring, lies flat except in all environments - wet or dry. I have been using the 6" x 9" version of this product for several years and decided to try the larger 9" x 12" version. Highly recommended, I've tried a dozen other sketchbooks over the past 40 years and this one is by far the best.
