They work, that's all I can say. When I squeeze the alligator clips, the clip slips out of the rubber boot. There is only one set of crimps and I think they are for insulation around the wire. There is no crimp for the wire itself so I assume they are for soldering. I tried using a bare wire crimp and had to carefully wrap each crimp around the wire with pliers before crimping it. When using one of the terminals, the wire slipped out of the crimp. Plan to solder the bare ends and use a crimp on the insulated part. After going through so much trouble I would suggest getting a better quality set.
