Review on Yaubay Aquarium Cleaner Changing Controller by Dionne Deedee

Having more doesn't always make it better

Using the Yaubay gravel vacuum was a huge improvement over what I had to use to clean my 29 gallon tank, but it took longer than expected to assemble due to no assembly instructions was provided . , it was amazing because arrived completely disassembled. Luckily there was a video on the Revain product website that was very helpful as a guide. There are a few key benefits to mentioning when using a vacuum cleaner. Firstly, the suction tube was quite large in diameter, so the overall cleaning time was significantly reduced. Its suction power was also impressive and managed my gravel substrate without any problems. I liked the primer ball as my previous one didn't have one. With it, vacuuming operations could quickly and easily start vacuuming to clean. Important Note: Make sure the pump is facing the right direction when assembling. There are directional arrows on each end of the pump pointing up to ensure proper operation. Now the cons. The first one may also surprise you as it fell into my pro category as well. The vacuum pull was so strong that the amount of water removed from the tank exceeded the amount of dirt and gravel. So much so that I was only able to fill half the tank and had to finish the other half over the next week. Chances are this will take time and practice as this vacuum is brand new to me so a future upgrade would be warranted. In addition, the "pipe clamp" did not stop or noticeably slow the flow of water. It was more en route than functional, an unnecessary accessory. I wasn't overly impressed with the Yaubay gravel vacuum given the issues I encountered right out of the box and before using the vacuum. Did it work? Yes, it stood the test of time, but all the bells and whistles didn't make it any better. In this case, less is more.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing
