Moderate suction, easy to use

My old siphon had a lot of suction. I had to shorten the tube a bit to get enough traction out of this vacuum. However, using this vacuum has increased the time it takes me to clean my aquarium because it moves less water. However, I like the stiff and elongated handle along with the siphon starter. Everything is easy to assemble and use even without instructions which are not included.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Upgradable

Long hard pipe!

I like the long, stiff tube of this vacuum cleaner! I can reach the bottom of the tank without getting my hands wet and still have complete control over the direction of the vacuum. Now the airbag/primer pump you use to start the siphon could use some TLC, I've had issues with it leaking. Where the black parts meet there is a red airbag screwed in so I unscrewed it and had to add about 3 layers of teflon tape, screwed it back in and it worked great, no more leaking and the siphon started much…

Great suction power! Best aquarium cleaner

This substrate cleaner works very well when water runs through the pipe. Hose clamp helps with very fast flow. It can do a very quick job just for water changes. I think it would be helpful to have a guide on how to get the siphon working. I had a hard time starting the siphon even while pumping up the bulb and it pointed in the right direction. Maybe a user error? My tank is 55 gallons long. Saltwater and I bought a large siphon. It comes with enough hoses! Seems pretty big for this tank but…

Works great, easy to use

It's made of lightweight plastic but still works great. The main stem is divided into three sections for more length options. The piston makes it easy to start the water flow and the filter mesh in the main pipe. Easy to use, and while no instructions are included, it's easy to assemble and mostly self-explanatory. The vacuum cleaner sucks well after starting and works well. I love that it comes with extra parts needed instead of useless parts. Supplied with end accessories for a more thorough…

Having more doesn't always make it better

Using the Yaubay gravel vacuum was a huge improvement over what I had to use to clean my 29 gallon tank, but it took longer than expected to assemble due to no assembly instructions was provided . , it was amazing because arrived completely disassembled. Luckily there was a video on the Revain product website that was very helpful as a guide. There are a few key benefits to mentioning when using a vacuum cleaner. Firstly, the suction tube was quite large in diameter, so the overall cleaning…

Much better than the plain clear tube I used

Bought this for my small 5 gallon shrimp tank. Growing up we always used a clear hose to clean our aquariums, which to be honest was pretty unsanitary as you had to suck on one end and get enough water in the hose to start sucking, which is sometimes caused our mouths to fill with aquarium water. . I got older, moved out and continued to use a simple pipe to clean my tank. Now I'm pregnant and I've decided that even though I'm used to not taking a sip of water from the aquarium, I still feel…
