Review on Yaubay Aquarium Cleaner Changing Controller by Kimberly Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Much better than the plain clear tube I used

Bought this for my small 5 gallon shrimp tank. Growing up we always used a clear hose to clean our aquariums, which to be honest was pretty unsanitary as you had to suck on one end and get enough water in the hose to start sucking, which is sometimes caused our mouths to fill with aquarium water. . I got older, moved out and continued to use a simple pipe to clean my tank. Now I'm pregnant and I've decided that even though I'm used to not taking a sip of water from the aquarium, I still feel too gross to put my mouth in the hose I use to clean the aquarium, even if I do I was hit. I could not come to terms with it if I somehow managed to infect my child in this way. So I bought this and man what an upgrade. Try not to judge too hard I waited to upgrade while growing up, really bad things change. In any case, I wish I had bought one of these years ago. A 5 gallon tank will require you to change water very frequently, making the whole process more convenient. The parts are stable when assembled, but can be easily disassembled for cleaning. The hard plastic tubes mean I don't have to put my hand in the tank, which is great. It will be even more valuable when I have a large aquarium like I had when I was a kid. Nobody wants to stand shoulder-deep in an aquarium all the time. The small fish suction cap is narrow enough to hold my shrimp securely and the gravel doesn't get caught when I sift through the gravel with the cleaner, which is another great benefit. Also, the tube is long enough that I can place the bucket on the floor instead of trying to balance it on my hip or on the edge of the tall dresser my tank sits on. Overall I'm very happy with it. I can only recommend it. I know when you're an adult like me it's hard to justify when you can buy a piece of tubing at the store for a dollar or two, but it really saves you a lot of trouble.
