My turntable was picking up mains noise caused by a powerline adapter running on the same circuit. Plugging this device into the first outlet on my power distributor (ZeroSurge 8R15W-I, which by the way doesn't attenuate line noise in my tests) significantly reduced the audible noise (at least 10dB I think). I bought this unit based on a YouTube upload titled "iFi AC iPurifier Review - PROOF it works!". and I can confirm that my result is similar to that shown in the video. A single AC iPurifier won't erase ALL AC line noise, but I'm impressed because I honestly didn't expect it to do anything. I have to say that my house has a very clean power supply. When I moved I switched to a 200 amp service panel which required the utility to install a new transformer to accommodate the voltage drop. With the powerline disconnected, my phono stage is completely silent until I drive the amp above normal listening levels (about -15dB), at which point the inevitable hum appears. If, like me, you have clean mains power, I'm not sure. The iPurifier makes a noticeable difference, especially if you're not using a phono stage, which has to multiply the signal and any accompanying noise by a factor of tens, if not a hundred (for a moving coil). happy with his system, iPurifier almost certainly won't help. However, I would say that the iPurifier is 100% worth it if a) you have audible AC noise, b) you are happy with your current system and want to make the most of it.
