Review on 🚴 Premier 4-Bike Carrier for Vehicles with External Spare Tires - Allen Sports Model S645 by Tim Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

What Thule & Yakima roof racks CANNOT do. Rear bike carrier with enough space for large spare wheels!

I have read many reviews about this shelf and I am very satisfied with its functionality and quality. Racks in this style would add length, weight and cost to the rear end. Thus, the outboard variant was the only variant that also had more ground clearance. The hardest part was finding the right fit for a camper with a large rear spare tire rack. + The models didn't have enough clearance, even the swivel mounts I tried. Searching the web and trusting Revain and its customer reviews we took a chance and this is perfect for our family of 4. My mountain bike and my wife do not fit. have straight top tubes but still fit great without needing the "special $100 adapter tube" that other brands require. Even my kid's unicycle that I have to install! Given the simplicity of the rack and bungee cords, you'll need to add your extra boo ropes, foam noodles, or towels, etc. to further protect any bikes, forks, pedals, and tires from too much rocking or mutual hitting. But it's no different than any other bike rack I've researched and even tested on floor models. The build quality is solid and the very simple design makes it easy to use, assemble and remove. Excellent value for money with oversized rear mounted spare tires. Obviously, given its design, it doesn't lean back to open the side rear trunks. Check Allen Sports models to make sure you're ordering the correct unit and check dimensions. Only cares about the anti-sway pin on the hitch, no hitch pin to use the locking pin? So add a wire from the trunk to the hitch chain eye on either side? An update is coming soon after a couple of long campervan rides.
