Knowing I'm great at food, my husband (who cooks everything) wanted me to explore the mandolin, which for some reason I always want to call the guillotine. Anyway, after a lot of research, I decided on this one because of the price and because it seems to be able to do what it wants. He's used it two or three times and he really loves it! It claims to have all the settings it needs to complete various tasks - waffle fries were a particular favorite with our kids! I will definitely buy it again or buy it as a gift for a friend who loves to cook!
