I bought this because I was having problems with my air conditioning and wanted to check the temperature in the house via the thermostat. My unit needed service and when it was done I watched the room temperature drop as the unit started working properly again. My only minor complaint is that the picture on the website does not reflect the actual size of the thermometer. It's actually quite small, only about 2 inches wide, which means you'll have to pick it up to read it, unless you're hanging it on the wall, which I really don't want to do. It's not very attractive, but it works really well. I love being able to see the actual humidity level in the house. I live in Florida, it's very hot and the humidity is terrible. Good value for money.
