My kitten couldn't escape
When I first got it it was a bit big for my 2 month old kitten but it couldn't escape which we all know is very important. if he can escape, he hasn't already. it should be comfortable enough because he'll wear it with no problem, and putting it on is pretty easy. Just put his front hands in the holes and quickly attach the velcro and then snap the buckle. It suits him really well now but we found out he hates going out at the moment lol
