If you look closely you can see it in the photo but the plastic is a striking copper colour. I'm not sure why they did it that way. Maybe less stress for the critters during shipping, but for my purpose I would prefer the clear plastic. I hung them to grow phasmids from eggs. Also, some creatures can run away from him if they are small enough to climb. Madagascar hissing cockroach nymphs are easy to select, but most phasmid nymphs are not. For added security, I've added a screen to the inside of the lids. They are almost identical to those sold at Walmart but with black lids. The ones at Walmart just have ugly colored lids. I consider them the adult version.
