I needed smoke alarms for my new house and I stumbled across them. I wasn't looking for a combo device but at this price point it was hard to turn down this deal. They are very slim and compact and very easy to install, except they were difficult to reattach once the base was attached to a wall or ceiling. I recommend applying painter's tape to the junction of the two sections before taking them apart for assembly.
