I have a Blue Tick 85# hound who will bark at anything that moves outside, talk to neighbors, people walking or cycling, leaving the house or just work on house road. I had a sport collar that wasn't up to the task, I had to keep hitting her hard with a shocker. Got this one and charged it up, set it to level 5. Too much, the dog was overwhelmed and just lay on the couch so I started backing off. Stage 3 seemed to work fine. Day 2 I started stage 2 and after 2 barks she stopped. On day 3 I tried level 1, she was still barking so it's now level 2. Works great so far! The only thing I didn't like was that the font in the instructions is so small that you can't read it.
