I can't get the monitor to wake up no matter what. I connected it to an extension cord with surge protection. I was using a USB 3.1 port connected to a Thunderbolt 3 dock. My Macbook Pro 15" (2019) doesn't recognize it. The LED doesn't light up, which means the monitor has power at all. The screen stays black. Yes, I have the power button on the back of the switch on the HDMI - or DisplayPort option on this dock or computer I had the same reaction when connecting this computer to an older Apple display model that still works fine on my 2012 MacBook Pro I put it on I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I think I'll have to send it back.
