Review on KASTFORCE KF3006 Mounting Loading Capacity by Nate Skinner

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Too many problems, not recommended

Summary: This block appeared to be of decent quality, but there were many problems with assembly. Observations: 1) Lots of scratches on the components (they were light with foam), 2) Rust on the inside of the extensions, 3) Corrosion/rust on the nuts as well as pliers marks (not jets), 4) the leg bolts were over tightened, so they bent the blue side plate (see pic with black ruler), 5) the roller arms are flimsy and both were bent (should be square, bent almost 30 degrees on one side), 6) the rollers don't roll, rubber/plastic the end caps were not fully seated (fixed with a hammer), the legs were difficult to unfold due to over-tightening of the legs. Recommendations: If you want to solve these problems, do the following: 1) Remove the legs and install the washers, 2) Remove the casters and use a hammer to push them in all the way, 3) Straighten the roll straight. Pulley mount, 4) Use teflon tape to keep the screw from loosening (you actually need a 1/4" washer [or stack of washers] on both sides). Pros: Ability to spend an hour figuring it out how to fix poor production and quality control .Cons: None. Conclusion: For $90 I rate this product 2 stars (now usable with all fixes) and do not recommend Based on a quick search of "more portable Miter Saw Stand" I would recommend a potential buyer to take a look at the stand below which costs $79, 4.6 stars, 1373 reviews. /www.amazon.com/BORA-Portamate-PM-4000-Folding-Mounting/ dp/B002HORLUO
