I have a 2010 car. I replaced the base radio when I got it with an HD radio to get to a specific station I liked at the time. Then the station changed the music direction and I couldn't find another station that I liked at all. A few years ago I tried several of these BT adapters but couldn't find any that worked well. I decided to give it another try, ordered this one and was so tickled by how well it works. It was easy to use. I plugged it into the radio's AUX port, flipped the toggle switch to receive, and VAZ-LAH! it worked. It sounds really good and connects to my phone about a second after starting the car. Can't comment on the battery life as I just keep it connected via USB to the adapter in my cigarette lighter. I've only been using it for less than a week so can't comment on durability but I love it so much I bought a spare. I have an old but reliable pair of BOSE multimedia speakers that I'm going to use next.
