My 2016 Focus RS and I have just celebrated our 5 year anniversary and to improve our communication I have decided to update the user interface with a larger screen and more convenient/universal interactions. As a novice installer with no experience, I relied on YouTube videos to learn how to take the center dash apart, extract the old parts, plug in the new ones, install the new ones, and put it all back together. . I have inserted a picture during and after. Without a master's degree in electrical engineering, I put a few things in the wrong places the first time. I emailed the seller and they were incredibly responsive, responding immediately and sending pictures with instructions when I was too stupid to figure it out in just words. Now that the device is properly connected and everything is set up, it looks great, sounds great and works better than advertised: I've downloaded ringtones and videos to the hard drive, streamed music services, and talked and texted hands-free while driving. (Always keep your eyes on the road), enjoy a huge navigation screen when I need it (which is a frequent occurrence), know when to charge unobtrusively without stopping at a gas station to check, and more. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. This device can do a lot more with the appropriate options. For example, I still have to install the front camera. I haven't done this part yet. Right now I'm too busy jamming to 80's tunes. [GenX also loves to dance. We might not be very elegant with it, but we still like it. ;)]
