I've been using Otter Box Commuter cases for years since I got my first smartphone and I'm perfectly happy with them! Firstly, it makes the smooth and slippery surface of the phone easier to grip and therefore reduces the risk of falling. I also like the fact that there is a small lip around the screen and camera lenses as I can place the phone face up or face down, avoiding potential scratches caused by laying the screen or lenses directly on the surface.
