We needed a new printer that could deliver faster, better quality prints for our home office. (Comes from Canon MP490) I chose this one from Canon's new Maxify range as its specs suited our needs. This is a fairly new printer from Canon. We've had this printer for about a week and couldn't be happier. I printed photos on Pro Luster paper, which looked fine for an all-in-one printer. All document printing was fast and clear. Setting up the printer took maybe 30 minutes at a relaxed pace. We have a land line that goes into the printer and back into a phone so we can receive and send faxes. The printer is currently functioning as a network printer over an Ethernet connection. Setup was a breeze and everything worked flawlessly. The setup software found the printer without any problems, even though it was working over the network and not directly connected to the computer. Printing from multiple computers in our home is not a problem, but each one requires the printer's drivers to be installed. I found all of the menu options on the touchscreen to work well and every function of the printer is intuitive and works great. 2 paper trays hold about 250 sheets each. When you close a tray, it will ask what paper you loaded in that tray and provide a list of options. Can print envelopes. Haven't tried scanning yet, but I'm confident. Fantastic printer, I am satisfied.
