Installation was easy, follow the instructions and you can't go wrong. The mechanical work was excellent. I have to say my front door was perfectly aligned prior to installation and that was a big factor. The lock is not heavy duty in the sense that it does not force locking or unlocking unless the bolt moves freely in and out when the door is closed. Align the existing mechanical latch before installing the Smart Lock (if equipped). Otherwise, be precise when drilling holes. Now to the TTLOCK application. Download, installation and setup seem to work correctly. No problem. Since I only installed it for a few weeks, I didn't use all the features. I'm more interested in basic features like remote lock/unlock and status check. I noticed that when you use the app to lock or unlock, the status updates and adjusts instantly in the app. If you block remotely and then manually unblock, the app will not get a new status. Even if you update or close the app and start it again. This is not good and needs to be corrected. The same problem exists in the opposite direction. Multiple updates don't help. The app and the lock are not synced. However, if you use the lock or unlock app, it will sync again and report the correct status. Another downside is that the app's main icon is a padlock with a circle that never changes. The circle spins when prompted to perform a function, but the padlock always indicates it's locked. Shouldn't it show a locked padlock or an unlocked padlock depending on the status? I think that's a good idea. I love that you can assign "keys" (code) to a person and as long as they use it instead of sharing it everything works as intended. Reports indicate that this code was used. I also like that you can issue a temporary code that expires after a certain amount of time. This comes in handy for remote access to cleaners or repairs from someone you trust. In general I like it and you can live with the shortcomings. Due to the weaknesses of the app, I give it 4 stars.
