Review on WD 250GB Scorpio Blue SATA 5400 RPM 8MB Cache Bulk/OEM Notebook Hard Drive WD2500BEVS by Patrick Stephani

I bought this to replace a Dell hard drive and it works great. The drive doesn't make any noise as someone said, there's no excessive heat (at least I can tell) and overall performance is good. This is a 5400 RPM drive, which is standard on most laptops. No lags or hours moving files, and for large files (100MB+) the latency is pretty decent. The only downside I can find in this catalog is that it doesn't come in any retail packaging, just a brown box, bubble wrap and an anti-static bag. That's not a problem, at least for me since I'm only looking at the drive itself. Not to mention the huge discount when buying from OEM/Direct. I highly recommend it to everyone.
