Installed in PS3 for storage

hard drive works well in PS3. Be sure to buy the right screwdriver to save time. A small Phillips screwdriver may work, but a Phillips screwdriver should be used. If you can easily remove the screws, replacing the hard drive takes only five minutes and is very easy. Depending on the size of your original hard drive, it will take 20 to 30 minutes to back up your data. Recovering data to a new hard drive takes the same amount of time. Great HD to upgrade your laptop.

Replacement hard drive for HP notebooks. A great way to update an old laptop with an old operating system. Installed new HD, new OS and reloaded existing files and other applications. The RAM has already been upgraded so it's like a brand new laptop without a big price tag. I've been using WD hard drives for years and won't buy anything else. I would buy this product again.

Works great: Internal Hard Drives

I bought this to replace the hard drive in my daughter's new Gateway laptop (she dropped it!). It arrived on time and was in great packaging as expected. Installation was a breeze (ie very easy), I removed the old one and installed the new one in less than 5 minutes! I then reinstalled all the software on it and it's been working great ever since. This is a great hard drive for the price, don't be put off by the simple bulk packaging. I absolutely recommend it!

Overall great - storage

I bought this to replace a Dell hard drive and it works great. The drive doesn't make any noise as someone said, there's no excessive heat (at least I can tell) and overall performance is good. This is a 5400 RPM drive, which is standard on most laptops. No lags or hours moving files, and for large files (100MB+) the latency is pretty decent. The only downside I can find in this catalog is that it doesn't come in any retail packaging, just a brown box, bubble wrap and an anti-static bag. That's
