Great company, great cutting tools. I mostly use Chicago Latrobe bits because they came to me first (and are obviously good by themselves) :) But for the specific purpose of threading I turn to Viking. See, I understand that some products can be "just as good". For example some exercises maybe. But bits and taps are not products that should be saved. In fact, quality US bits improve upon and make up for any deficiency in the bit itself. If you don't skimp on bits, they will wear out and break, and over time you'll end up spending more money to replace them. If you save on taps, have fun drilling if they break a hole In this case, it makes good business sense to go for high quality, and in this quality range, producing locally in the US is the cheapest and most logical choice.
