Review on Delta Faucet RP60400 Leland Valve by Jarod Lacy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Delta changes internal parts but looks identical, so trust your faucet model!

Edit: After getting this part directly from Delta and it still didn't fit, I finally called Delta Customer Service and found out about the problem by speaking to their helpful customer service folks. I've been told that they regularly update the interior of their faucets but keep the style and what you see identical. To identify my faucet, I simply checked the Delta website, found the exact same faucet, and ordered a replacement part for it that is different from my identical faucet. Delta let me look under the faucet and find the model number and was then able to find the parts I needed. In addition, Delta told me that my leak isn't even related to the valve, I would just need to replace the seal and spring (RP4993) which cost about $5 for a pair of two. Finally, I would have been fine if I had called Delta, so it really was my fault (although I still find it odd that they change their internals while still keeping the same look). I assume I'm not the only reviewer of this piece who has done the same. First Review: According to Delta's website, the RP60400 was a replacement part for my faucet, 2594-DST, so against my better judgment I didn't listen to other reviews of this product and bought it. Then I thought maybe it was just a tight fit so I tried to pinch it there and broke that overpriced valve as it was the wrong size. So for those of you looking at this review and trying to buy what Delta says for 2594-DST, don't do it, it's the wrong part.
