These days cameras are everywhere, and having a DVR onboard that will prevent overwriting on any impact is your best ally.My favorite thing about this device is the full mirror screen that turns darkness into daylight. In my car, rearview vision was pretty limited. Now I can see both blind spots in full daylight even when it's nighttime. I use the backup mirror while driving all the time as it gives me the visibility my car never had.The installation of the camera (over the mirror) takes less than a minute. Power comes from the 12v cigarette socket and the plug has a built-in USB port for whatever you want.The actual camera plug is thin enough for me to slip it in the came home as my license plate lamp, avoiding the need to make a hole. The backup lamp connection took a single wire which I connected just behind the backup light. The kit includes a 3M self stick for the rear camera mount and also comes with a tool to tuck the single camera wire under stuff so it's completely hidden.Something that is a really nice touch is the playback ability on screen in addition to a standalone USB SD card dongle.Overall, this kit protects me in bunch of ways. Firstly I can see what's behind me in day or night and secondly I'm protected by the DVR functionality which protects me from fake lawsuits. I glad I chise to buy this and recommend it.
