this was a complete waste of time that i wish i could get back. the instructions are super unclear (the type is extremely small as well and don't seem to match the specific product). I tried relentlessly to sync the feeder and app. never happened. I called the customer service hotline. the service rep was new and wasn't familiar with the product. i was told someone would call me back that could help. never happened. So im stuck with this hunk of plastic. Im not entirely sure, but if you have dual wifi & cant switch between 2.4ghz and 5ghz you wont be able to use this product. It specifically needs the 2.4ghz and not all carriers allow you to select.UPDATE: MANY MANY MANY MANY MONTHS LATER. while cleaning out my storage i saw this feeder in a heap of other junk and decided to give it one more try & magically it was easily able to connect to my wifi and work as intended. I was shocked considering the amount of headache it gave me out the box, even their tech couldnt get it to work. Im pleased with the product now so i'll revise my rating from 1 start to 4 stars. it has a lot of bells and whistles: alerts your phone when it successfully feeds, camera, video record, and voice.
