These fans are pretty good. They come with mounting screws and have a 4-pin Molex connector as well as a 3-pin male connector. When powered via a Molex connector, the fans and lights always run at maximum speed and brightness. However, if your motherboard has fan connectors that you can plug them into and it also supports fan speed control, you can control the fan speed and brightness through the motherboard or other fan controls. Fan speed and brightness are controlled simply by the power delivered to the fan, making speed and brightness somewhat related. depends on your usage and needs, this can be a plus or a minus. As for me, I want to be able to see immediately how fast the fans are spinning by seeing how bright they are. But if you want to use the backlight to illuminate your case without cranking up the fans, you're probably out of luck.
