Review on 🧼 Refill for OXO Good Grips Soap Dispensing Dish Scrub Brush by John Kennedy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works well but short lived

Since OXO updated the scrubber knob to dispense soap through the knob rather than the screw cap on the bottom of the handle, I've been very happy with the scrubber itself. I've had no issues with the sponge attachments not staying in place and I really like being able to change sponges or dispense soap as needed. There are two issues I have seen with this scrubber. First, when the jaws are attached to the handle there is no seal and so after a few weeks the plastic area where the jaws snap onto the handle becomes dirty and needs to be wiped off. Another problem is that sponge baits don't last very long. The blue part of the scrubber will start to fall off after about 3-4 weeks and once removed, the sponge will quickly become unusable. In some cases, the blue mop came loose when I took it out of the box. Since I can go to the store and buy six packs of regular scrubbing pads for the same price as two replacement brush heads and regular pads last twice as long, you can bet this scrubbing pad is a good buy. For now I'll keep using mine because I really like the soap dispenser feature, but if the replacement heads keep falling apart quickly I'll probably try a different brush.

  • Sponges
Cons
  • Some bugs
