I' I'm not a professional but I've been using these batteries on and off around the house for over a month with a Porter Cable 18v cordless drill, saws and a circular saw. Batteries work fine. They work with the original charging station, hold their charge well and power tools like original batteries. I would say that this is a very good option if you plan to use it as a full replacement for the original batteries. My only issue with them is that the case on these batteries is slightly larger than the Porter Cable originals. They fit the charger and tool (with some persistence) however I have found that my only original battery does not fit properly after using new batteries with tools. They are loose and not making a proper connection, causing power to the tools to be intermittent or stop randomly while drilling or cutting. When your old batteries die or die and you need a full replacement, they will get the job done. If you still have the original batteries with a reasonable life and just want to add an extra battery or two, you might want to reconsider this option.
