Review on Efficient StoreYourBoard Canoe Ceiling Storage Hoist: Hi Lift Pulley Rack for Home and Garage, Pro Solution by Ryan Turner

Works well but overall unsatisfied

Does what it is supposed to. I have him in hand with a 15 foot canoe. It climbs fairly easily, but becomes more difficult as you climb when the rope gets caught on the boat. The braking system is good in that it holds itself up when climbing. The rope is terrible after installing and testing a few climbs, the rope is already worn out. I will replace it because the boat will fall on me in the drain. The instructions are also very bad. They should show a diagram of the whole system setup. You must ensure that you install the pulleys in the correct direction, or you will have to repeat the installation. In general, the system works, but I'm not very happy with it. A few things that could be improved. 1) Provide more detailed assembly instructions. In particular, a diagram showing the structure of the whole system, the orientation of the rollers, etc. 2) Provide better rope quality. I would pay more for a good set of ropes than to replace them myself. 3) Add an extra pulley with a brake that can be mounted away from the boat so the rope doesn't rub against the boat when you pull it. it to its maximum height.
