I'm not new to Hikari products; I have had her 9005 Cree XHP50 light bulbs for years and have installed them in my fiancee's car which she loves. It's been that way all these years, so I stuck with it when they came out with fog lights. Now like many fog and light panels sold at Revain I was curious about the build quality and it didn't disappoint. As far as I can tell, the case is cast aluminum and shows no signs of leaking (time will tell) or moisture remaining inside. There is a metal bracket and no plastic as far as I can see except for the lamp itself. The wiring is simple: two red wires connect together and the blue wire goes to the PLUS terminal. The two black wires go to the MINUS terminal. Buttons: The right button is for the LED lighting. The left button has a full and half press function for the warning light. If you press the left button down, you will have a warning/amber light; sometimes it may flicker. Pressing the button halfway toggles. You may also have one that is solid while the other is blinking. You can half-press the button for a few seconds and it should go back to normal. I discovered this while playing. As with any electronics installation, it is IMPERATIVE that you test this BEFORE drilling and assembling the entire installation. This will save you a headache if you connected or removed the bumper incorrectly and now you have to repeat the whole process all over again. But it's Hikari, so you shouldn't have any issues with the consistency and quality of the lighting. I am neither new nor uneducated when it comes to LED lighting. I have two pairs of Rigid Industries Spot and Hyperspot lighting on my Toyota, as well as upgraded HIDs and LEDs in almost everything, both outside and inside. So why did I buy non-Rigid Industries products? Well I needed this for my trailer at night when I can't light up the rear with LED backup lights. The light just doesn't reach far enough. These bulbs give off a bright light so that's more than enough for what I need for a small fee. Even on my Rigid Industries I have a plastic window covered with a thick 3M clear BH material to prevent scratches and stone chipping. Flight. I highly recommend them to use it for everything. My Toyota fog lights are also made of clear material and have been avoiding rock chips for a few months, although I drive mostly on the freeway which shattered my last pair of fog lights. With that in mind, I highly recommend it! Be sure to buy a belt as it is not included!
