Great for trigger point release

Spending $14 on a piece of plastic seemed ridiculous. It was worth me considering keeping another one at work. I broke my ankle in November and have ongoing injuries. Physical therapy with intense massage/trigger point release just once a week wasn't enough to keep me going. I figured there must be something in the house that I could use to release trigger points myself, but I just couldn't get anything to work so I gave up and ordered this. This is ideal for powerfully attacking trigger points with the whole hand rather than trying to use a finger without a tool. It can be held however you like so as not to twist your wrist, which is also huge. It's amazing how much more pressure you can create with this tool. Using it for around 20-30 minutes a day (more than 2 or 3 sessions) really helps with my pain and functionality. All three ends work differently to get different ranges. I suggest using it over clothing to allow the tool to slide easily. Cons: It appears to be cast in a two-piece mold and there is a notable raised seam around the tool, including at the end of the protruding tip. I had to file it with a nail file so it wouldn't scratch me. It's not really his fault, but he looks like, um, a personal massager. I have to hide it when using his work.

Pros
  • Excellent tool for massage or trigger point therapy - provides deeper pressure with minimal effort
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
