Silk is a wonderful fabric for everything that comes in contact with your face or hair. As I got older I noticed that my hair was becoming noticeably more brittle and prone to breakage - this silk scrunchie is great at holding my hair together without breaking it. In fact, it leaves very few creases, which is particularly nice. I love using it at night to 'pineapple' my hair when I'm not planning on washing it the next day and it does a great job of adding volume and bounce without causing damage. The pillowcase and mask are equally gentle on the skin. and help you avoid facial wrinkles and retain moisture. Other fabrics will soak up your skincare products (mostly stomach and side sleepers, of course) leaving your skin dry the next day. Silk actually helps your skin retain moisture and stay cooler. I've definitely noticed a difference after using them for a few weeks and am very happy with the results. All items included in this set are well made and appear to be durable. The black color of the silk is pleasantly rich and even throughout the fabric. The mask effectively blocks all light when worn as an eye mask, stays in place when worn as an eye or face mask, and is comfortable to wear. I'm 5ft 7in tall with facial features that are usually proportional to my height; I wouldn't recommend this as a face mask if you plan on talking a lot while wearing it at your workplace for example. I only wear masks when shopping or in similar situations where I'm mostly alone, so it wasn't a problem for me. However, I have found that when I speak, this mask pulls up or down, exposing my nose or bulging my chin. There doesn't seem to be enough tissue to move around the mouth. I believe that goes for anyone who is not a petite woman or child. All items included arrived in the box pictured and it is very sturdy and quite pretty. This would make a wonderful gift for anyone, but especially for that woman who mentioned that she is frustrated with dry skin or hair, wrinkles or frizzy hair.
