Review on ACDelco 62G Professional Glow Plug by Adam Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best Genuine GM Parts

These glow plugs are fine, took about 3 hours for a skilled handyman to install. It is best to watch videos on YouTube, especially the steering shaft joint removal video as a glow plug cannot be removed without it. I also removed the CAC pipes for easier access. As it is steel in a block of aluminum, lubricate the final tip liberally and several times with penetrating oil a few days beforehand to reduce corrosion, then remove when the engine is hot. My local GM dealer had an $800 job that I did for $100.

Pros
  • Designed to give diesel engines the heat they need for cold starts
Cons
  • No power
