Few days after ordering I received the alpthy light meter. The packaging is nice and compact which means there isn't much air in the box. The meter comes with a soft case. I was able to borrow a professional measuring device and used 2 for comparison. Both had roughly the same configuration, with a soft case, a meter with a screen and buttons, and a slight "peephole” with a dust cap. The professional had an "eye" on the wire. Both read values that were within variance on both measures. I would say this is a solid gauge, the display is a bit dim in the sun and I will continue to use this gauge to calculate lighting needs, verify that the key fob mounting area meets lighting standards and for security checks. Light is 47 times brighter.
