As someone who dabbles in leather goods but was just eyeing a roll of pencils, I wasn't expecting much from it based on price. I was positively surprised. I got a compliment in a single meeting where I went too far and it still smells like the leather shops I frequented as a kid, full of the same vegetable tanned leather. Only thing is the sleeves are too tight for things thicker than a #2 pencil, at least initially. At the moment I trim my thicker pens with the lip you see behind the brush heads in the picture; There is a pocket behind the sleeves, similar to a wallet.
