Review on 🐠 Enhance Your Aquarium with the Kessil Tuna Blue A80 LED Light and Mini Gooseneck by Ebony Shaw

Not worth the money!

I purchased this coral grow light for a 10 gallon NUVO Innovative Marine Aquarium. The only corals in the aquarium are zoanthids. I immediately noticed the Zoas reaching for the light. I bought a Kessil controller to help with the spectrum and light cycle. I put it up and watched it for a week with no change in zoanthid behavior. I then set the light to work at 100% for an extended period mid-cycle with no change in behavior. I've noticed that the zoanthids change color and get darker in full light. The water borders are in place and I even added a skimmer to improve the water conditions as there are two clown fish in the tank. The zoas are open but stretch very aggressively to get light. The aquarium has several zoas in a live rock landscape that I made. They are on different levels and show the same migration behavior. Guess I thought I wouldn't have this problem if I bought a well known brand like Kessil as this light was designed for this type of tank setup. I was wrong and now after testing and waiting to see if the problem is solved I can no longer return this Revain. I don't usually write reviews but wanted others to know so they don't waste time and money like I did. I will never buy a Kessil product again. Kessil claims that this fixture is 24 inches in diameter. The light is not powerful enough to do this effectively, nor to meet the lighting needs of a zoa in a simple 10 gallon aquarium. Don't buy this light if you have live coral in your aquarium. Tank.
