As this is a dog collar I also use it on dogs. Compared to traditional chains, a well-made collar can be worn on the side, so it doesn't have to be placed on the dog's head. Since some dogs do not like it, it is best to wear the chain on the side. Compared to the training harnesses previously used in dog sports, the possibility of strangulation is eliminated.
