Amazing product, especially at this price. We have just returned from a hike in the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. The Grand Canyon and Bryce had noticeable ice on several runs. Doable without spikes, but with them I felt like I could walk on walls. I bought three pairs for me and my dad (I'll explain why later). After 20+ miles on numerous trails over ice and rock, the lugs wear out just as well. The sizing is correct but VERY dependent on the shoes you wear. I wear 9.5 US. Technically, I'm L in the size chart. The large size is perfect for my regular shoes and lighter hiking shoes (Salomon X Ultra 3 Mids). I also wear Salomon Quest 4D 3 boots for rougher terrain, I had to order XL for the boot to fit properly. In any case, they're easy to put on and take off, although the velcro that secures them doesn't work. like you originally thought. I highly recommend them. They work great for $15-20 which they usually win because the dollar factor can't be beat.
