I bought Gloss Gel Medium. Up until this summer I had never used Basics Mediums or Basics Acrylics. As for the color, the quality varies from color to color. But this environment is pretty good. It's thick and transparent as mentioned. I've used it with other student quality acrylic paints and it works well. I think in the future I will like matte gel more for its finish but for now the gloss extends my color and goes well with my art. I use it often, about two weeks, and the tube still looks like new!
