These bits are very sharp - I cut myself removing the rubber guard so be careful with this. It arrived very well packaged in a nice plastic case with the protective rubber cap mentioned above. The sleeve was in a resealable bag that said "Caution, sharp!". - and they mean business! The product is made in the USA for those who care. The lug design is for removing shavings from the cut and appears to be machined from carbide so should last a long time. The one I received is about 0.001" under 1/2", which is accurate enough for woodworking. This will definitely be my starting point for my next dado project.
