If you want a warm light that can get very dim, this is for you. I tried a few reading lamps and for each I had to make a lampshade that reduces the brightness because when I'm reading at night I only need the minimum amount of light necessary to not disturb my sleep. The darkest setting is as little light as you can reasonably use, which is great. It turns out quite bright at maximum, but I'm not looking for bright light, I have ceiling and table lamps for that. My only complaint is that the transition from the darkest to the next lighter level is about 2x. This second darkest setting is probably what I'll be using most of the time.
