They like to have their own light for reading books.

I bought two of these for my 7 year old and 5 year old kids for Christmas. They like to have their own light to read books at night. They're strong enough to zip onto the bed frame and stay cool so I don't have to worry about catching fire, but they're not near the pillow or head. I wish the on/off buttons were closer to the bulb itself rather than farther on the cord. We had to adjust them a bit so that their small hands could easily reach them without falling behind the bed.

I would have liked it if not for one thing.

Ordered for a brighter and more focused light for reading in bed. I attached it to the headboard and it's a nice bright light. It would be perfect if there wasn't one thing: a blue light that shines constantly from the switch, even when it's off. The light is unnecessary and too bright. I love having a completely dark bedroom, I even installed blackout blinds for this purpose, and I also keep the house cool to improve sleeping conditions. That little blue glow next to my face is disrupting my…

Not cool - there is a risk of overheating and burns

At first I thought it was good that you can choose two light colors here - cold and soft white - and can clamp them because there is little space on the desk. My first thoughts were "Mach" as the gooseneck isn't very stiff - it sags and doesn't hold position, which means creative twists and turns to balance the lamp. Not critical, but not very convenient. It was useful as a work light. Unfortunately, after only a few hours of operation (and after closing the return line) it shorted out and…

Great lamp, good lighting options, durable and fits large headboards

I love this lamp. I have a fairly thick headboard - 5 inches from what I remember - and it attaches without destroying the wood. There are three settings and I use soft yellow for reading, mainly because it reminds me to read in bed before the lights went out from fantasy. I can easily reach over and increase or decrease the brightness. When the lamp is off, the buttons on the lamp give off a faint glow, making it easy to turn it on or off in total darkness, but it's not bright enough to…

Ideal for reading at night

If you want a warm light that can get very dim, this is for you. I tried a few reading lamps and for each I had to make a lampshade that reduces the brightness because when I'm reading at night I only need the minimum amount of light necessary to not disturb my sleep. The darkest setting is as little light as you can reasonably use, which is great. It turns out quite bright at maximum, but I'm not looking for bright light, I have ceiling and table lamps for that. My only complaint is that the…

Doesn't damage headboards, keeps latest settings

I bought this for my child who wanted to be able to read before bed if they have trouble falling asleep. I love that I can switch it to warm white and I especially love that it saves the last setting every time we turn it back on so we don't have an OH GOD STADION LIGHTS situation every night. The only thing I would change is to add a step dimmer or a warmer white option. Honestly, that's exactly what we need. There is a tiny blue light next to the power button that only illuminates when the…

Definitely a goalie, BUT.

GREAT light, but there are a few design issues. 1) The neck is only 14.5 inches long, so the book can only be reached by sitting on the edge of the bed. 2) The clip is very strong and big BUT it may get caught on the smooth edge of the furniture. See photo. It is not suitable for curved or round edges. I have a shallow drawer on my bedside table so this worked. I see a problem when you want to use a new design computer monitor. It should work on a laptop though. 3) The electrical adapter is…

The best bedside lamp I've ever had.

This is the best bedside lamp I have ever owned. I prefer warm/yellow, but bluish is good too. I'm very sensitive to light and none of the shades bother me. The lamp is extremely flexible (like a gumby!) in all directions. I pinned him to our wooden headboard and he stayed safe. In addition, the buttons that control the type and intensity of the light are easily accessible. I highly recommend this lamp. In fact, before it arrived I requested a refund as it was long delayed due to snow. I ended…

On the subject of strength and warmth (white model)

03/11/2020: I've only had this lamp (white model) for 1 day, so I can't say anything about the durability of the lamp. Noticing some feedback regarding the heat, I decided to report the data I had collected in one day. This light has 3 color modes: warm, daylight and mixed. Mixed mode produces the most light and uses the most energy (according to my wattmeter, a constant 5.5 watts at maximum intensity). I left the light on at full power for 6 hours and then measured the heat: PSU at max surface

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
