Plugged it into the motherboard and everything worked fine. I downloaded the proprietary utility Patriot PCIe ToolBox v1.6, ated the firmware. The operation completed successfully, the utility asked to turn off the computer. Turned off, turned on, no more SSD. Not defined in BIOS or Windows. I moved it to another M.2 connector, the same thing. SSD dead.
