For the price they are good. Bought these for my 5 year old. He usually plays quite softly, but swings hard. One of them broke beyond repair (the plastic at the base had ripped off), but I'm not sure if it fell or just wobbled too much. Recommended for older children. They came with no instructions and do not turn off automatically like some other sabers. A child (or adult) has to remember to press the buttons several times to turn it off, otherwise it will stay on for a week until the battery dies. (Santa didn't get the note). Also, batteries are not included. Overall ideal for parties or gentle play with older children.
