The stools are easy to assemble and strong enough for our use. The style is consistent with other dinnerware and I am very happy with them. Just the right height. Clean simple look. The chipboard looks ok. The legs have plastic footpads, but on our pine wood floors I use a mat underneath as a precaution. This type of chair is great for sitting at the counter for 1-2 hours while eating or working on the computer. I plan on wearing pads if we use them for a long period of time. I was hoping to change the top of the chair but that's not possible due to the way they are constructed.
